Thankfulness

            What are you thankful for?

This week we celebrate Thanksgiving, and before you know it will be Christmas. So much is going on in the world today that brings on anxiety and uncertainty. It is easy to get caught up in politics, fear of covid-19, and a variety of other things that we stop looking for the wonderful things around us. If you turn on the news, all you will find is the constant flow of bad news and negativity. This week I hope you find time to look for your happiness, and moments that fill your heart with thankfulness.

More than likely we will all be surrounded by family. Our family should be the foundation of who we are and gives us a reason to be alive. My wife is my rock, who always supports and encourages me to keep going despite the setbacks. We should have a person in our lives who we count on to give us peace. My children are my world, and they give me a reason to live. I could not imagine a life without them. If you are lucky to have kids, loved on them any chance you can. No matter how old we are, our parents or in-laws are still around to offer support and advise. You are lucky if these people are still in your lives. Our families are so important for us and gives us a reason to be alive, be thankful you have these individual.

Our health is another thing to be thankful for. With out our health we have nothing. If we get seriously sick because we fail to take care of ourselves then we miss out on some many wonderful life events. Be thankful for your health, both our physical and mental health.

We cannot forget the other supporters in our lives, like our colleagues and friends who we work with every day. For me, these are the staff members of the school district I am at. The teachers, janitors, office staff, and bus driver to name a few are always working behind the scenes to keep our organization going every single day. Be thankful for the individuals in your life that help you in so many ways.

Who are the individuals in your life who you are most thankful for?

What moments in your life are you most thankful for?

Take time to acknowledge the wonderful people and moments in your like. Great things are happening to you all the time, but you must look for them. I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving.
