Take Your Shot

What is causing you to hesitate on a decision or goal implementation?

I recently went on a hunting trip with a friend, we had a great time. It was our second year for this little adventure. We didn’t do as well as we’d hoped, as we didn’t experience a target rich environment. I know without a doubt my aim was not true, which got me thinking later, about life and the decisions we make. Our goals won’t become a reality if we fail to take our shot at the brass ring, because we are hesitating out of fear. So, what is causing your hesitation?

Are you hesitating out of fear or is your goal not ready for implementation? In most cases, our hesitation comes from fear. We talk ourselves out of many things because we stay in our comfort zones and don’t want to risk the chance of failure. If you are hesitating in the pursuit of a goal, it’s important to understand the underlying reasons. Whatever your reason is, you must push through that self-doubt.

When we know what truly causes us to hesitate, we can better prepare ourselves to move forward. First, we must start. No matter how small the action is, we must take that first step. Small steps lead to the momentum necessary to create success. However, I caution you not to say within that first step for too long. The first small step must lead to another, compounding the success you experienced. Before you know it, you have achieved a goal, and ready to move onto the next.

Imagine if you had someone to answer all those questions, while you pursued your goals. You would have met those goals sooner. Your experience has the potential to help someone working through their own hesitations. Where can you lend a hand and help a friend or colleague? Helping others is the key to life, offering you true fulfillment in leading a life of significance.

What hesitations are you experiencing related to your goals?

What methods could you utilize to create momentum with your goals?

How could your experience encourage others with their goals?

Hesitation serves a purpose, but it can also hinder our growth as individuals. If our hesitation keeps us safe, that is a good thing. Hesitation because of fear, does not help us improve. I hope you understand the reasons why you may be hesitating with decisions, and I challenge you to push passed that fear to reach your given potential.
