What does it take to develop new ideas in your personal growth?
Many people develop and grow in their own way. In addition to that, people’s rate of growth is different. I have found that it takes a split second to ask yourself how to develop personally. The difficulty, at least for myself is the follow through. Staying committed to goals can be easy for some, but difficult for others. Is there someone to help you?
I have the luxury of colleagues in my life who share my growth mindset and are willing to share their ideas. Forming groups of people to hold me accountable are important for me to stay on point. Discussions within this group also gives me the opportunity to share my ideas in a nonthreatening atmosphere. It speaks to the trust we all share with one another. This first blog serves as evidence of an idea I had for myself and asked some close friends to help me explore and develop this idea. The opportunity to express myself and bounce ideas around with other serves two purposes in my personal development. First, it gives me a sounding board and assistance in developing the goals or ideas. Second, it helps my confidence when others listen to my ideas and share my enthusiasm.
We all grow and develop differently. At times it can be as simple as choosing one idea or goal you want to develop. Taking small steps in the right direction. Building upon more steps until eventually you have developed an idea or met a goal. Take that small step and then surround yourself with like-minded individuals whom you trust whole heartedly. You got this, now go get it!
Who do you have in your life that can hold you accountable in your personal development?
