What personal growth resources are you gathering for yourself and others?
Recently, I was reviewing a coaching video done by Valarie Burton. The subject of personal resources for our goals was discussed. This made me review my thoughts on recourses I have used, continue to use, and some I have yet to discover. I have gathered a large collection of books, filed articles, and quotes over the years. Everything is somewhat organized, but I could do better. The beauty of books is the opportunity to search for any answers I may need, and they provide me with a reference section right in my home. For me, having books around are so important to my growth. Have you gathered your own resources and how are you organizing those?
It is possible my educational background makes me a lover of books, or it could be the whole purpose of books that I love, a learning resource. When we have access to books that guide us towards goals, we always have answers to our questions. Of course, books are not the only resources provided to us. The internet is full of learning opportunities and potential resources for growth. Somehow, we must gather and file the resources that work for us, and the hidden blessing is, it could help others as well. All we must do is share it. The key to your growth library is identifying how you will display or file these items. For me, I have my books displayed and organized by topics, such as my coaching books. When we are passionate about our goals, we must never stop searching for resources to guide us.
Why are growth resources necessary for you and how do you identify them?
How do you identify resources that could help others?
How do you organize or catalog your resources?
Finding and keeping resources are so important to our growth and goal achievement. When we grow a resource library, we have the potential to benefit others. We become a resource to those around us and this creates a compounding effect of growth and personal development. I challenge you to review your personal resources that helped you achieve goals. Then share those resources with others. Thank you for checking out this post, and please leave a comment below that will contribute to this conversation. Happy Father’s Day to the ultimate resource in all our lives.
