Goals and Connection

How can common goals foster better connections with others?

Can you recall moments when you and a colleague were working towards a common goal? Remember the energy you both shared and genuine connection you felt? These moments are magical, especially when ideas are shared. It is great to be around others when you both worked so hard and managed to meet a goal. It’s even better when we can celebrate together and acknowledge the shared efforts, or reflect on the difficulties. Working alongside others, chasing the goals of life is an outstanding opportunity to make a solid connection or friendship. So, who is by your side?

When we have like-minded teams, success is sure to follow. Like-minded groups work together through struggles as well as celebrate wins. Our like-minded colleagues share in our passions, our drive to become better, and our perseverance through difficult times. We share an unquenchable desire for something more. Who shares this mindset with you?

Positive energy creates more positive energy. When we mirror positive energy, those around us cannot help but become positive as well. It can be very difficult to remain melancholy when the guy next to you thinks he is at a nonstop party. We have all witnessed when people’s negative attitudes cause others to act the same way. Positive energy works the same way. Imagine our work environment if everyone could harness that positive energy, and the goals that could be achieved. It is important to understand that we can remain positive even in stressful situations. It is not easy, but doable.

A great way to work with others to achieve common goals and make better connections is to create a think-tank atmosphere. When we are using all ideas or bouncing ideas off others, more gets solved. When we involve others in idea development, the best ideas come to the forefront. The sharing of these ideas makes great connections with others and helps the collective group reach goals faster. Energizing conversations open more possibilities.

Like-minded groups, who have positive energy and allow for great idea sharing cause a compounding effect. The continuous build up of goal achieving makes the connections between individuals solid and never faltering. It creates a safe environment where the individuals in it are allowed to achieve so much more without judgement.

Who is your like-minded partner and how do you share ideas?

Are you bringing a positive attitude and energy to everything you do?

What ideas are you sharing with others and are you accepting theirs?

How can you build upon goals and make connections?

Working with others, chasing goals offers us true connections because we are engaged in a battle for success. Openness of idea sharing, positive dialogue, and freedom from judgement all contribute to connections with others. I hope you can compound all the positive efforts and achieve the goals you have before you; making friendships in the process.
