Doing Enough

Are you discouraged by not meeting your own expectations?

Our expectations are important and yet not always realistic. I am sure we all can relate to our feelings of inefficacy, failure, or being overwhelmed in the process of working towards a goal. We get lost in the whirlwind of emotional thought of inadequacy. We can choose to accept these thoughts as reality, as if we are not doing enough to create success. The good news is we can change our views and let these emotional thoughts go away. This week, I am here to share that you are enough, and you will be successful in whatever it is you are working towards.

Envisioning a goal or the expectations of meeting that goal are so important. Is manifestation real? That is debatable. Visualizing something is powerful, and it takes commitment to settling on the perfect vision of our goals. Do you allow yourself time to just sit with your thoughts? Could you take time to see the vision you have for your life? You must absolutely take the time necessary to see your goals in your mind. Create a mental picture of what it is you want out of life. Give yourself time to think, create a vision, and put it on paper, for which you could create a map to a path to achievement.

Eventually we need to commit to a plan, with established steps and follow through. The time you give yourself to visualize your goals, the better a plan of action can be established. It is easy to say or plan but difficult to take the initiative with this important step. It takes a commitment and a change in our daily habits to allow time to work with this process. We can set an alarm for planning to fulfill this step in our morning or evening routines.

We all have a feeling deep down that we must harness. It is the feeling of perseverance, drive, and power. At the end of the day, we must shut down the negative voices in our heads and harness the positive one. We can overcome our own critical voices and truly step up and change the message. We all have this internal driving force that we find when we really want to achieve something powerful. Tune into that powerful positive voice and never allow yourself to give up.

It is ok to be vulnerable and seek help as needed. I know this point has been shared often through this blog site. Stop going alone. We can find a better route to our goals, dreams, and initiatives when we share conversations with others. Many of our colleagues can offer additional help and support, only if we ask. Depending on our goal, we may need to seek other experts who are not in our immediate circles of trusted relationships. This is on you to research and investigate who are the key players in your areas of interest. Whatever you are seeking, there are individuals out there who are more than happy to lend a hand.

Have you created a vision for your expectations, and is it achievable?

Have you established a plan to meet your desired goals and expectations?

What is your inner voice saying about your successes?

Have you accepted you are not where you want to be and found help?

So often I feel as if I am not doing enough or the right things to be successful in what I am working towards. I compare myself to others, causing myself undue stress. This is unfair to myself and does not give my abilities true respect. I hope you can keep a positive perspective of your goals this week. Thanks for checking in and I hope you catch what you are chasing. Please leave a comment below that will contribute to this conversation.
